Meet Our Dogs.
Every dog in our care has their own journey — a past they’ve lived through, a present they’re learning from, and a future they deserve to be loved through. Each one is searching for their happy ending, a place where they can finally feel safe, understood, and cherished.
Below, you’ll find the wonderful dogs currently looking for their forever homes. We encourage you to click on each dog you’re interested in and read their bio carefully. Their stories, needs, and personalities are all unique, and finding the right match helps ensure their next chapter is their best one yet. 🐾
Adoption Fees & What They Support
Our adoption fees help offset a portion of the cost of caring for each dog while they are with L.C. Canine Co. Every dog in our care receives the veterinary care and basic necessities they need before heading home, including spay/neuter, microchipping, age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, flea treatment, food, supplies, and any additional medical care they may need.
Adoption fees also help us continue saying “yes” to the next dog who needs us. In many cases, the actual cost of caring for a dog exceeds their adoption fee—especially when additional veterinary care, extended foster care, specialty food, or other needs arise.
Our typical adoption fees are based on age:
8 weeks – 4 months: $500
5 – 7 months: $450
8 – 11 months: $400
1 – 4 years: $350
5+ years: $275
You may notice that our adoption fees decrease as a dog gets older. This is intentional. Older dogs often come to us with more medical history and may require just as much—or even more—care than a puppy. Unfortunately, puppies rarely have trouble attracting interested adopters, while interest tends to decrease as a dog's age increases. Our goal is to remove as many barriers as we can and help our adult and senior dogs find their forever homes as quickly as possible. A lower adoption fee doesn't mean a dog is worth less—it simply gives them another advantage in their search for a family.
Occasionally, you may also see a dog listed with a reduced adoption fee because a generous donor or sponsor has contributed toward their adoption. This allows us to pass that gift along to their future family while hopefully helping that dog find a home a little sooner.
The adoption fee shown on each dog's individual listing is their current adoption fee.
